Job Specifications
Task/Responsibility
1. Maintain report of vendor analysis which serves to identify, evaluate and monitor existing/potential suppliers’ capacity utilization, price competitiveness and availability in context of corporate (multi divisional) supplier load factors, quota assimilation (if applicable) and external loading issues.
2. Research and analyze the cost and strategic advantages/disadvantages of different supply chain models pertaining to greige, finishing and packaging materials; explore opportunities to maximize company benefit.
3. Manage and monitor development and production quality performance to prevent any quality issues or delays in schedules due to quality related problems.
4. Review with the Senior Merchandiser of Fashion Bedding any issues that will prevent a timely product development, sampling and production process in regard to the product calendar and customer shipping deadlines.
5. Coordinate vendor visits in conjunction with the Senior Merchandiser of Fashion Bedding Dept..
Qualification & Requirement
1. At least 3 years experience in working with factories on fashion/textile product sourcing. Experience of working in US sourcing office in Shanghai or providing services to big US retailers is preferred.
2. Knowledge of textile engineering, especially in the processes of weaving, printing and Dying
3. Proactive organization and management skills
4. Fluency in Mandarin and strong English skills with a focus on written English
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
6. Strong computer skills – particularly with MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
7. Able to work without supervision for certain periods and aggressively seek to solve problems
8. Flexible working schedule and frequent travel |
